Stuck pipe prevention and recovery
Drill string sticking has always been and still is a major problem for the oil and gas industry. From an economic point of view, it is quite logical to prevent sticking rather than eliminate the consequences of the incident and resume the drilling process, which leads to multi-million dollar losses. Unfortunately, the time to restore the mobility of the string leads to long downtimes and the loss of expensive downhole tools.
Goal
Obtaining knowledge and practical skills for conducting accident-free drilling operations, taking prompt, correct and rational actions in cases of stuck drill string.
Target audience
Members of the drilling crew, office staff involved in the design of well construction.
Duration format
Duration - 4 days. Format - online.
Information
In combination with theory, the training program involves practicing relevant practical exercises, which are specially designed to be performed on the iDrillSIM simulator from the British company Drilling Systems.
A key feature of the course is its adaptation directly to the production needs of the Customer company. For more thorough preparation, it is necessary to obtain the initial well data and cases of sticking, so that the instructor, together with the training participants, can specifically analyze the situation and pay attention to the correct sequence of team actions.
